Emily Robinson
Emily has studied yoga since 1999 when a friend suggested she take a yoga class to help her relax. She took her first class at a local gym and even though it was different than anything she had ever experienced it was exactly what she needed and changed her life.
Emily took her first teacher training with Ana Forrest in 2001 and began teaching soon after. She infused the teachings of Ana Forrest and Paul Weitz whom she had studied with for a few years and created a nice balance of strength and heart. Over the years Emily has experienced many great teachers. In 2007 Emily completed the Yogaview Teacher Training led by Quinn Kearney, Tom Quinn, Geri Bleier, Keith Bell and Claire Mark. Emily believes that you are your own Guru and that she is just a guide to show you that truth.
Yoga to Emily is about learning more about who you are by bringing more awareness to your body, mind and spirit. She creates a safe and fun environment to explore the possibilities.
Emily teaches Friday 10-11am & Saturday 9-10am

Katie Houser
Katie was introduced to yoga 12 years ago through a friend. She learned some basic postures and was drawn in to the deeper philosophies of yoga, mediation and chanting. Katie has found that a daily practice has been very healing and transformational for her body and mind. Katie believes that with consistent practice, yoga brings a sense of calm and inner peace, and becomes a powerful tool for emotional growth .
Katie is honored to practice Ashtanga yoga with Todd Bomen in Chicago and is deeply inspired by her Teacher Kino MacGregor for illuminating this path. In Katie's classes you will find a blend of postures from the Ashtanga Series, tailored toward the students needs and experience level. Classes with Katie are fun, and challenging, you will work hard, and relax well. Katie encourages her students to come to their practice with a positive attitude and the idea of limitless possibilities. Katie inspires her students to look within and meet their own greatness.

Kristin Urbanus

Yogasutra 11.37
Kristin began doing yoga while living and working in southern Spain. She was helping to start a company and was very stressed. A friend of hers recommended a yoga class to her saying, “if you do yoga consistently and over time, it will change your life.” As her practice grew she began to feel and see the affects in her daily life and in her relationships, and began to feel the transformation of yoga. She says, “In yoga, we connect to our inner light, essence, or soul, and learn that the answers to our questions cannot be found outside of ourselves. We turn inside to find that we hold the answers inside of us.”
Kristin is a certified yoga teacher and completed her teacher training program through Moksha Yoga. She teaches vinyasa, a type of yoga which synchronizes breath to movement resulting in a dynamic and flowing class.
In class, Kristin aspires to help her students in discovering and living the consistent transformation that is yoga. Her classes are vinyasa-inspired with a focus on pranayama. As a teacher she is inspired by Iyengar principals of alignment, the physical challenges of Astanga, and the balancing principals and breath techniques of Tantra. Expect to move through a challenging class, and leave feeling balanced and refreshed.

Kara Schmidt
I grew up in the woods near a small town in southern Indiana. Climbing trees and jumping from the second story window of our house or from the loft in my bedroom were some of my favorite activities as a kid.
AcroYoga has helped me to RECLAIM the inner playfulness that got stuffed away for many years through high school, college and adult life.
After 10 years of teaching yoga, 7 years of owning a yoga studio and 18 years of living in small-town Northern Indiana, I moved to Chicago (Fall 2011) with my husband, Andy. Why? Just for the adventure! We are in the process of reinventing ourselves, our lives, and our relationship in the context of the big city.
Through this practice I hope to offer a space for people to play and connect in ways they never thought possible, because that is what the practice of AcroYoga has given to me.

Deepaola Picasso
Everything you imagine is real. -Pablo Picasso
I discovered yoga back in 2006 in Los Angeles, CA with David Romanelli. I would make it to class twice a week because I loved the music he played in class. Little did I know what I was getting myself into! After a few weeks of attending Dave's class because of the music, I was hooked. My body was hooked with the asana and my mind became quite and I started to live in the moment. One night in Hollywood, I was in a play, it was closing night and one of the cast members surprised me with a gift card to YogaWorks. It was a special time for me when I became a member at YogaWorks, I never knew I would be able to do Half Moon pose (Ardha Chandrasana) or fall in love with Vinnie Marino's classes and Sara Ivanhoe and Jesse Schein, and many other fantastic yogis.
2011, In the middle of one winter night I woke up at 3 a.m- I got on my lap top and FOUND Vessel Yoga. A week later I was training under Margo Kellison! Since I was a little girl I've imagined myself a BLESSED and LUCKY person and that's what the universe has given me, blessings and luck.
